Since opening the doors to our landmark Sunset Hills, MO store back in 1967, we’ve slowly grown up with our customers, watching young athletes grow into seasoned coaches and concerned parents – who return with their kids to experience the same great service and products that have made us a local sporting goods institution. |

Thanks to the unique dedication and loyalty provided by our customers (affectionately referred to as “our athletes”), Johnny Mac’s has grown from a single family-owned sporting goods shop into the largest privately-held, independent team sporting goods dealer in the Midwest – with a total of 7 retail locations in MO, IL, and MI. To this very day, Johnny Mac’s still holds on to the values put forth by our founder, John A. McArthur, “The Original Johnny Mac.” Tradition, family, and quality customer service have always been at the forefront of our customer experience – something Mr. McArthur instilled in his sons through years of working in the sporting goods industry. Although Mr. McArthur has long since retired, his sons – John S. McArthur (President and CEO), Bob McArthur (Vice President and Head of Operations), and Rick McArthur (CFO) – continue to carry the torch and serve new generations of athletes. When you walk into Johnny Mac’s, you can expect to find quality equipment and apparel, trusted product knowledge and advice, and customer service…the way it ought to be (with thoughtful consideration and assistance from a caring, dedicated staff).
